Yohanes + Sessily: Surrattsville Engagement Session

Yohanes are Sessily are high school sweethearts so these sweet and sentimental engagement photos taken in and around the place where they first fell in love are really so lovely. I always tell my couples to try to make an engagement session happen because I get to see how you interact as a couple and you get to see how I work as a photographer. It also helps to alleviate (SOME!) nerves on your actual day because being in front of my camera is old hat. Having said that, you can see how comfortable and fun these two are with one another and I’m so happy that let me be their photographer!

S + S: National Arboretum Children’s Portrait Session

S+S were the cutest sibling duo on this chilly fall day at The National Arboretum. Just looking at them and you can see a big brother, fiercely protective of his little sister and a little sister who adores her big brother. They were so sweet and full of energy and it was nice to just capture them being kids and having fun. Also, how amazing that their mom made that dress? LOVE!

Kenneth + Lacretia: Houston, TX Engagement Session

As my business grows, clients come to me in a variety of ways: word of mouth, Googling or just people who Al Gore’s internet brought together. Lacretia is the latter and for that I am so incredibly thankful. You’ll remember her stunning portrait session when she visited DC and as fate would have it – I was going to be in her neck of the woods and we made these amazing, amazing engagement photos happen. I can’t say enough how much I’, looking forward to she and Kenneth’s fall wedding in Houston, TX.

Alia + Andy: Long Island, NY Wedding

I don’t think there are any words to convey just how much I love and adore Alia and Andy. As soon as you see the rest of these photos, you will start to get a sense of why I feel the way that I do. They were incredibly sweet and in love and you can see that in every frame that I took of them.

Cruz + Tsion

I could go on and on and on (and on) about Cruz + Tsion. How beautiful they are, how they have such an incredibly sweet love story but I think these pictures tell you pretty much everything that you need to know.

Tia + TJ: Adelphi Mill Wedding

Sometimes fate steps in and you meet people that just really blow you away with their happiness and kindness. Tia + TJ are one of those couples for me. You might remember them from their amazing (AMAZING!) engagement session which still remains one of my very favs. Their wedding was small, sweet and full of details that really show who they are as a couple and how much they value their friends and family. I’ve said it before but it bears repeating – whenever I get to be a part of someone’s wedding story, I am humbled, grateful and so happy and this was no exception.

Nas: Largo High School Class of 2017

After a handful of super rainy days, we got a reprieve for Nas’ portrait session at The National Arboretum. I really love these photos because I think they show you what kind of young man Nas is. A bit shy, a bit serious, a bit mischievous, A LOT handsome.

The Lanes

I will never, ever, ever not be amazed at women and their ability to bring forth new life. NEVER. Watching people that you love grow and getting to see their families expand is absolutely one of life’s biggest gifts. I’m lucky to call Julie and Nikki friends but also my chosen family. When I tell you this baby hit the lottery when they got these two as moms? So lucky.

Daniel + Lauren

There is nothing more exciting to me than when people show up to a photo session and they can just relax and allow themselves to be exactly who they are. This is 100% the case with Daniel + Lauren – every frame I shot was them just being happy and in love and I think these images say so much about who they are as people and as a couple. Thank you both for allowing me to photograph you – wishing you both an endless amount of love and happiness!
